There were 545 entrants all told this week, making for a $545,000 prize pool that again easily bested the event's $300K guarantee. K0VAK came out of the gates swinging with an attempted snow after being dealt three aces. K0VAK three-bet predraw and then stood pat throughout, but the betting couldn't shake JagaForever who made a J-8-6-2 badugi to pick off the bluff. K0VAK was crippled but would make a pay jump when Hariseldo723 came unstuck in a three-way pot. K0VAK gone in 5th ($6,800.81) K0VAK made it 52,550 from UTG and met an instant 3-bet from ilir3 in the cut-off to his left. When it folded back to him, he shoved for 528,073 total and got a quick call. K0VAK's 5♥ 5♣ were far behind the Q♥ Q♦ of ilir3, but the flop brought some hope. The second day of the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) would bring one of the more unique and fun events of the schedule. Those looking for a break from the usual Holdem grind could jump into Event #5 of the series, Fixed Limit Badugi, with the 'low' version of this event offering an affordable buy-in of just $27.

It would take over ten and a half hours of play to determine a champion with Poland's JagaForever overcoming a large heads-up deficit to claim victory and the top prize of $6,490.77.

The event attracted a field of 1,502 players with the $36,874.10 prize pool easily exceeding the advertised guarantee.

Jaime Staples, Matthias Brandner, George Danzer, Marcin Horecki, Tyler Frost and Stavros Kalfas were some of the Team PokerStars Pros in the field but they would ultimately bust out before the money. The top 192 players would finish in the cash and when Brazilian GVFR bubbled in 193rd place, the remaining players had secured at least $43.51 for their efforts.

Naoya Kihara (175th - $44.24) snuck into the money while Jon Turner (128th - $60.84) and Kevin MacPhee (116th - $64.52) were a couple of notables to finish in profit.

It would take over nine hours of Baduginess to reach the final table with Tarzancev the one to bubble the final eight. Tarzancev twice ran into a 5-4-2-A badugi, the final hand holding a J-7-6-3 badugi, which saw Tarzancev depart in ninth place and our final table set as follows:

Final Table Line Up
Seat 1: hendosnap (355,990 in chips)
Seat 2: JagaForever (1,466,317 in chips)
Seat 3: Seawood1986 (1,252,884 in chips)
Seat 4: Hariseldo723 (241,250 in chips)
Seat 5: silna_rakia (1,464,027 in chips)
Seat 6: Iwantbearich (1,466,678 in chips)
Seat 7: tomacampi (678,821 in chips)
Seat 8: K0VAK (584,033 in chips)

Everyone was in good spirits as the final table got under way, but with the blinds at just 17.5k/35k, there was plenty of play ahead with four players holding substantial seven-figure stacks.

Hariseldo723 raised predraw and stood pat as both silna_rakia and tomacampi took one on each of the three draws. Hariseldo723 led the betting on the first two draws, before check-calling all-in after the final draw only to see tomacampi table a 3♣A♠4♥7♦ badugi. Hariseldo723 had been dealt a badugi but 9♠2♦T♥K♣ wasn't enough with the long road to the final table ending in eighth place for $368.74 in prize money.

K0VAK was all in and all out the next hand with a stack that barely covered the small blind. The players in the blinds called and checked it down with Seawood1986 making a badugi with 6♥5♦A♠K♣. K0VAK couldn't beat that and mucked to depart in seventh place for $737.48.

JagaForever skipped ahead at the top of the chip counts with a 7-6-4-A badugi in a multi-way pot, and followed that with the elimination of hendosnap.

JagaForever three-bet predraw, and stood pat throughout as hendosnap drew two, one and one. hendosnap was all in after the second draw and could only make a three-card 4-2-A as JagaForever tabled a J♦K♥5♣6♠ badugi to take it down. hendosnap was left to pick up $1,106.22 for sixth place.

Five handed play was a tight affair as the stacks deepened compared to the blinds. tomacampi was the only former SCOOP winner on the final table and took a nice pot from Seawood1986 after drawing to a 6-5-4-A badugi to challenge for the chip lead. However it would all fall apart for the Hungarian.

Seawood1986 got some revenge with a seven-figure pot against tomacampi when both players stood pat on the final two draws. Seawood1986 showed a 8-4-3-2 badugi to take it down and leave tomacampi under pressure.

A few moments later and tomacampi's last chips were all in after the second draw in a pot against JagaForever. tomacampi took one on every draw as JagaForever took one and one before standing pat on the final draw with a A♦3♠9♥8♣ badugi. tomacampi revealed 9♦2♦6♥5♠ for a three-card 6-5-2 which left tomacampi to depart in fifth place for $1,843.70 in prize money.

Seawood1986 and JagaForever held the chip lead, but Iwantbearich secured a nice double up with a 6-3-2-A badugi against JagaForever's 9-7-5-3 badugi.

JagaForever soon became the one under pressure after betting a three-card 5-2-A against silna_rakia who made a nice call down with a three-card 4-3-A.

However JagaForever was able to turn things around as silna_rakia was the next to fall. With the betting capped, silna_rakia was all in predraw and stood pat while Seawood1986 drew two and one before standing pat on the final draw. silna_rakia had been dealt a 8♥J♦Q♣6♠ badugi but Seawood1986 drew to a slightly better Q♥2♦A♣9♠ badugi to take it down. silna_rakia's tournament came to an end in fourth place for a $2,581.18 collect.

Seawood1986 was out to a big chip lead and extended that advantage with the elimination of the short-stacked Iwantbearich. With the chips all in predraw, Iwantbearich drew two, one and one while Seawood1986 was happy to stand pat. Iwantbearich tabled 6♥A♦K♥7♠ for a three-card 7-6-A while Seawood1986's 7♦K♣3♠J♥ badugi was enough to claim the pot and eliminate former MicroMillions Event winner Iwantbearich in third place for $3,503.03 in prize money.

Seawood1986 said, 'chop?'

Seawood1986 had a big lead and the little tongue-in-cheek barb at a chop went ignored as JagaForever got down to business with the SCOOP title on the line.

Seawood1986 collected three of the first four pots but it was the aggression of JagaForever which helped close the gap with JagaForever winning 14 of the next 16 pots to virtually even things up.

The biggest pot of the tournament unfolded with the action capped predraw and then three-bet after the second draw. JagaForever ended up with a 7-6-5-4 badugi as Seawood1986 mucked to give up the chip lead.

JagaForever continued to win the pots that mattered before the final hand of the tournament would be dealt.

After a three-bet predraw, Seawood1986 drew two, two and one before the last chips were all in after the final draw. JagaForever took two, one and one and called down the bets making a 8♠5♣9♥A♦ badugi on the final draw. Seawood1986 could only table 4♥3♠7♣2♥ for a three-card 7-3-2.

Seawood1986 picked up $4,609.26 for a fine tournament but the SCOOP title headed to Poland as JagaForever finished the tournament as our champion, winning $6,490.77 in prize money. Congratulations!
